The fault, he thinks, is in the master switch, because he thinks that the passenger power switch is merely an extension of the master power window switch. So far, I shopped on eBay motors and bought three switches cheaply, since I did not see the point of paying $200-400 for a new master switch.
The basic reset procedures (for most cars) is to start with window in midway position, then hold switch up until closes and keep holding for another 5 seconds. If you intentionally apply the resistance in auto up mode it should stop functioning in auto up until the reset procedure is performed. Captainmal.
Hello, One of the big things on my "to-do" list on my 2012 Cruze LT is get the power windows working as they should. The drivers "master" switch will only control the drivers front window currently. This car has express up and down. The other 3 switches control their respective windows as they should. I am thinking this must be something to do
I drove around for 6 months with the driver side window not working. only rear windows worked from driver side. all other windows worked by the individual switch. I could not be bothered to fix the POS that I have driven for over 8 years and only a 150K on it.

The car is a 2000 GT. The problem is that the passenger power window will only work from the drivers side switch. I therefore assumed that the motor was fine and the passenger switch was gone. Put a meter on the switch and it is getting power, 11 volts. I therefore assumed that the problem lied within the wiring to the motor.
